Carbonara Veggie

Craving for pasta… I decided to drop by at the grocery store from work one Thursday afternoon. I grab some RAGU four cheese sauce, fettuccine pasta, and some vegetables. Instead of having chicken breast, Carbonara usually has, I decided to put vegetables such as broccoli and tomato – it is healthier. I planned to cook it the next day.

On my way home, I was so excited! It’s been a while since I cooked pasta with white cheese sauce. Then my sister called, asking my help to look after the kids the next day. I forgot! She called days ago; I got stuck with a lot of things and didn't return her call. Well of course, as a kind sister I always is, I said yes. :P

Now, my new recipe will have more people to be judged. My niece and nephew are always energetic to see me which pleases me more every time I go and visit them. The youngest, (1 year old) is so sweet… run and hug as soon as he sees me. Well, all of them hugged me.  Or, I may say squeeze me, to the point where it hard for me to breath! :D They all looked puzzled as they see my grocery bag; I explained I’ll be cooking tomorrow. They all smile and shout with excitement… cheering me up, I guess.

This recipe is so simple, just combine everything in a saucepan, and simmer for few minutes and then… tada... it is done! No need to add more seasoning and stuff because the white sauce itself is already flavored.

I bet they all like it. My nephew, who likes pasta had 2 plates, my niece had 1 ½ plate, my sister and brother also enjoyed it. To sum it all... everyone, including me… liked, enjoyed and got full that day!

Actually, it’s pretty good. So, I hope you try and enjoy it too!
